The Fizzbook Spin

01 May 2009

The Fizzbook is the first fully featured range of laptops designed around the exclusive needs of children aged 6-14. The new Fizzbook Spin changes the dimensions of the traditional netbook with a touch screen that can twist, spin and turn, converting the unit into a Tablet PC

The stylus pen and touch screen provide new opportunities for creative minds. The Fizzbook spin is supported by a full Windows® operating system and an Intel Atom processor powerful enough to run day-to-day software applications and standard computer peripherals. This tablet PC also includes the Smartboard SynchronEyes™ software for use in the classroom with Smartboards.

The Fizzbook received outstanding attention from all visitors at the recent Bett show in London (UK technology-in-education trade event) where it stole the show. The Spin adds to the range of Fizzbooks with another sturdy option for the classroom to connect to the schools network or take on field trips.

The ultra portable Fizzbook Spin is based on the latest generation Intel Classmate Convertible PC, developed by Intel as part of their learning series. The ethos of the design is solely to improve learning and support the needs of children and as such it has been ruggedized for use by children.

Sion Roberts, Director at Zoostorm explained why he expects the Fizzbook Spin to be such a popular product for schools, teachers and children “It’s not often that a device truly revolutionises classroom learning, but the recent trend in netbooks in schools has done just that. The problem is 99% of netbooks aren’t actually designed for children or the classroom so schools are failing to realise the full potential the technology offers. The Fizzbook Spin changes that.”.

Zoostorm has won over 50 independent magazine review awards for the quality, value and performance. These include:
